This is a Nōkyō-chō (stamp book) decorated with beautiful chrysanthemum flower-design.
The individual pages are made of quality Japanese paper called washi, so that characters written on it with black ink will not be visible on the reverse side.
On the first page, there is a drawing of Kobo-Daishi (Kukai).
There are 89 pages, one for each of the 88 temples on the Shikoku pilgrimage (from the first temple Ryozen-ji to the 88th temple Okubo-ji), and one for the inner sanctuary at Mt. Koya. On each of these pages you can receive the temple seal (or stamp).
At the back of the book, there are ten blank pages.
The cover of Nōkyō-chō is made of vinyl.
