The map book published by Henromichi Hozon Kyōryokukai (Shikoku Pilgrim Path
Preservation Cooperative Association /へんろみち保存協力会) is very useful and all color printed.

It provides three colors to distinguish ‘henro roads for walking pilgrims’, ‘roads
for car pilgrims’, and ‘roads for both walking and car pilgrims’, and then there is the list
of the Shikoku pilgrimage sites and places to stay relating to the map at the end of the
book.

The lists also have addresses, phone numbers, and distances from nearest temple.

It will be very useful for pilgrims, especially who plan to take walking paths and
decide where to stay on a journey.

There are azimuth directions on each map page, so you can use a compass to make sure which direction you are. There are many road signs placed on henro-michi, but some places are very complicated and easy to get lost.

If you are lost, the map book will be useful and help you.
