This is symbolic of the full Buddhist robe and shows one`s devotion.
We have printed crests called Mitsudomoe (three comma-shaped figures in a circle),
the Shikoku pilgrimage 88 temples (四国八十八ヶ所巡拝), Namu Daishi Henjō Kongō (南無大師遍照金剛) embroidered with gold thread on the each side of the wagesa.
Wagesa is part of the pilgrim's traditional attire and a necessary item on the pilgrimage.
It must be taken off when going into a washroom or while eating meals.
Please treat it carefully (do not place it on the ground, but on a chair or table).
